Pee Wee, CHILDREN'S & Youth MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES
Learning to fall properly without getting hurt is a practical life skill that everyone should know, your child can too. Tina Takahashi Martial Arts & Fitness offers a well rounded program appropriate for your growing child. Warm-ups with a variety of exercises, drills to reinforce skills, standing and ground technique practice, gymnastics, games, and much more are included in the various classes. Sparring "practice" competition matches, refereeing and kata (pre-arranged forms) are taught for 7 yrs. old and up. Exercises and skills are selected that are age appropriate in our acclaimed Pee Wee Classes for ages 4 to 7 years.
Youth Classes offer students the best all round grappling and striking expert teachers in the country. Older children and teens can train for recreation or competition. Practising a variety of martial arts including the striking arts such as Karate and Kun Khmer make students very capable. Children gain confidence and concentration. Learning to protecting oneself through martial arts training is one large security, safety measure you've responsibly taken that will help keep your peace of mind as a parent. Motor skills, physical strength, balance, stamina, self-defense, and discipline are developed while being respectful of one another, fostering good sportsmanship, mutual welfare and benefit and cooperation.
