While Tina Takahashi trains students at all levels in the most effective martial arts (as demonstrated through MMA, military, and police forces worldwide), their most popular classes are Judo, Sambo, and Kun Khmer.
Sensei Tina is absolutely stellar. Professional, experienced, precise, focused, and one of the kindest and most practical teachers I've ever seen. My daughter has been with her for three years, and adores judo and Sensei in equal measures.
Awesome known Tina for many years. She is an awesome athlete and a great coach!
Top notch Martial Arts instruction for you and/or your family in a nice, friendly environment. Highly recommended!
Great teachers and fun. I learned a lot when I was there. (At the other place)
Amazing teachers a lot of respect and etiquette love it will not be going to any other schools
The absolute epitome of QUALITY martial arts. Instruction is second to none. I highly recommend this dojo to everyone.
If you're interested in first rate instruction from a myriad of champions than this is the club for you. I have only been training at this club for a month and I could not be more impressed with the quality of each class, or the level of detail given on each technique that we learn. If you're interested in learning Judo or being a part of the Canadian Sambo President's club than you should join!
Tina Takahashi Martial arts offers the highest quality of coaching the Ottawa area has to offer! From private self defence classes, Judo, sambo, Muay-Thai and wrestling they bring a lifetime of knowledge to the program! I've had the pleasure of knowing both Tina Takahashi and Sean MacFadyen since I was a 10 year old boy with a dream of competing at the Olympics! Both Tina and Sean played a very important role in providing me with world class coaching and the support system someone needs to achieve big dreams! I have since retired after competing in the 2012 Olympics and have keep in contact with Sean and Tina throughout my career. If you're looking for a great dojo and a great atmosphere, I highly suggest checking them out!
Kano considered judo training to be an aid to the student’s educational aspirations. His ultimate ambition was to produce students of fine character, so that they would in future become useful, educated citizens and thus benefit society.
